His response has been to rebuild how Omnicell ships products. Drawing on agile principles, he is restructuring teams to sit closer to customers and using generative AI to shrink team sizes while increasing output. Rather than ten engineers and one PM, smaller teams of three PMs and two engineers can now write prototype code in real time with a hospital customer in the room.

On the hardware side, the new Titan XT is designed as a continuously evolving service, not a static device. For hospitals not ready to replace entire fleets, Omnicell engineered a retrofittable console that connects legacy cabinets to the cloud. And the room-sized XR2 robot automates medication picks entirely, freeing pharmacists from hours of manual validation so they can focus on patient care.
